USA for Africa (Amerykańscy artyści dla Afryki) – grupa 45 amerykańskich artystów zebrana dla nagrania jednego utworu "We are the world", który został wydany na singlu w 1985 roku. Nagranie miało miejsce w nocy 28 stycznia 1985 roku. Była to noc rozdania American Music Awards, co było najlepszym sposobem zebrania tylu znakomitych artystów w jednym miejscu i czasie. Celem tego przedsięwzięcia było zebranie pieniędzy na pomoc dla głodującej Afryki. Pomysłodawcą był Harry Belafonte, piosenkę napisali Michael Jackson i Lionel Richie, a producentem był Quincy Jones. Utwór został przebojem roku i przyniósł 90 mln dolarów zysku. Zdobył dwie nagrody Grammy w 1985 roku jako Best Song of the Year oraz Best Record of the Year. 800 000 kopii nagrania pojawiło się w sklepach we wtorek, 7 marca 1985 i wszystkie one zostały sprzedane podczas pierwszego tygodnia. Piosenka zadebiutowała na liście Billboardu 23 marca na miejscu 21 (był to najwyższy debiut od czasów "Imagine" Johna Lennona), a na miejscu pierwszym znalazła się po trzech tygodniach pobytu na liście.
